Marie Boiseau

Marie Boiseau is a French illustrator whose vibrant colors, organic shapes, and delightful textures bring warmth and charm to every project. She is currently based in Nantes, France. After graduating from École Européenne Supérieure de l'Image (EESI) in 2016, she embarked on her illustration career in 2017, driven by a lifelong passion for drawing. Her creative world focuses primarily on diverse and expressive portrayals of women. Additionally, she finds inspiration in the shapes and colors of nature, everyday moments, fashion, and feminism. Marie predominantly uses gouache, appreciating its vibrant colors and distinctive texture, though she continually enjoys experimenting with new techniques and media.

Boiseau shares her journey into illustration with us. She says, "I've always drawn since I was a little girl, and it was really my biggest passion. So, I simply never stopped drawing. As a teenager, I wasn't sure how this passion could become a profession, and I discovered illustration while studying at the Beaux-arts." She eventually decided to leave her studies at Beaux-arts and change direction to become a freelance illustrator. Fortunately, things worked out quickly, allowing her to sustain her career.
