Sleeping Animal Pattern
This is a pattern and surface design project with a theme about the sleeping habits of different animals.
Created for bedding and fabric based products such as bags and scarf, the design combines playful character illustrations with soft, calming colors to evoke a sense of comfort and coziness. Each animal is shown in its natural sleeping posture, creating a rhythmic and soothing repeat pattern suitable for children’s textiles.

About the illustrator
Angela is an illustrator based in the United States and Australia. Recently graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York, she explores storytelling and book art through gouache painting, often reinterpreting classic literature and fairy tales through a contemporary and personal lens. Her work focuses on creating imaginative yet emotionally grounded worlds that speak to young readers, encouraging them to connect with stories in thoughtful and playful ways. With a background in visual narrative, art education, and traditional painting, Angela is passionate about using illustration as a tool to bridge cultures, generations, and ideas, bringing warmth, curiosity, and a sense of wonder to the page.
