Piping Plover
This pattern was based on the Piping Plover, a shore bird that is listed on the Endangered animals list. I created this pattern for a three series piece each work based off of birds either endangered or at risk within the New England region where I live. With the patterns based off of each birds diet and environment I made each into a stereogram in which the viewer has to work to see the animal within the image.
Now outside the Fine Art world this pattern can still be used as a representation of the Piping Plover within its original form. Within the pattern there is an endless amount of food and space to live, which is unrealistic today, but due to conservation efforts within the past years the population of Piping Plovers is on the rise.

About the illustrator
I am Kaitlyn Robicheau-Hall, an illustrator and artist with a passion for capturing the world around me through colorful, hand-drawn illustrations. I love creating editorial designs, unique hand-made patterns, and sketching everything from nature to the subtle moments of everyday life. My work is a blend of vibrant colors, playful lines, and meaningful narratives, all drawn from my love of discovery and storytelling.
I’m constantly inspired by the fascinating world of science, current events, and the power of words. I often find myself drawn to articles and news stories, and anywhere I can learn something new. Whether it's the rhythm of language or the patterns in nature, I’m always seeking out new perspectives to fuel my creative process.
I work both digitally and with physical mediums, allowing me to merge traditional techniques with modern tools to create pieces that feel authentic and fresh. Through each sketch, pattern, or illustration, I aim to tell a story and capture the beauty in the details, inviting others to see the world through my eyes.
