Lize Meddings

In a cozy Bristol studio, with her cat Phil, illustrator and author Lize Meddings creates a graphic novel series, The Sad Ghost Club. Reflecting on her creative journey, she shared, ”I never really considered myself an author until starting The Sad Ghost Club graphic novel series, but looking back, words have always been a super important part of my work.”

The Sad Ghost Club was created in 2020. Lize, the author of the comic series, calls herself the Chief Sad Ghost. Her partner Ben, officially known as the Second-in-Command Sad Ghost, has been assisting her with the club since 2018. So far, there have been nine books in The Sad Ghost Club series, including a derivative coloring book. The series is also available in digital and French editions.
